About Us

We are a very large blended family with five children, a couple of dogs and a cat. When we are not busy with our jobs and leather we love to hit the lakes or the mountains for a little bit of exploring, but enough about us, let us tell you about how this project came to be!

Carolina Moonlight Leather was born from the need for a hobby. Before starting leather craft, Jacob often made bow racks, tables and other small wood items but due to the price of wood going up during the pandemic he set out to find something new to fill his time.

After buying the tools and some scrap leather to get started with Jacob became a self-taught leather worker. Marie joined in on the fun to create her first purse. We have only grown from that point.

We often let our children get involved in creating small items with us in hopes that they will learn to create something of their own someday.
